Jenne Johns, MPH 

Director of Health Disparities

Jenné Johns, has a unique background in healthcare, on-profit, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, academia, and research. In her professional capacity, Jenné is currently, Director of Health Disparities at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies. She is responsible for leading an enterprise wide approach for addressing and improving racial and ethnic health and healthcare disparities. Prior to this she served as Director of Strategic Alliances at AmeriHealth Caritas. Jenné has extensive experience in childhood obesity prevention policy and advocacy. To this end, she has held several positions at PolicyLink in New York City, Summit Health Institute for Research and Education in Washington, DC, and the National Nursing Centers Consortium in Philadelphia, PA. Jenné has also worked with national and local health foundations-most notable, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as Program Associate on the Healthcare Quality and Equity Team.

Jenné holds a Masters Degree in Public Health, Community Health Education from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Ecology, Nutrition with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Jenné was recently appointed by the Office of Minority Health to serve a two year term as Co-Chari on the Mid-Atlantic Regional Health Equity Council. She is also a committee member of the Reducing Cancer Disparities by Engaging Stakeholders (RCaDES) Initiative.

Jenne’s awards and accomplishments include: Certificate of Recognition for the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships Program, Regional Finalist 2010 Competition, Being named one of Philadelphia’s top and talented young professionals by Leadership Philadelphia in 2009, Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Department of Agriculture Core Nutrition Messages Group, Distinguished MPH Project Award, Temple University, and Certificate of Appreciation, Teen Obesity Summit Organizer, Girls Scouts of Maryland.

Jenné is a proud mother, and enjoys time with her family, motivational speaking, and traveling internationally.
